Q. My negative thoughts are way too present. Is there a tool I can use to nip them in the bud?
A. Any time you notice a negative thought:
Silently count “ONE” as you breathe in
and “TWO” as you breathe out.
You don’t have to breathe slowly or deeply.
Simply keep counting “ONE” in & “TWO” out until the bad thought or feeling goes away.
Eventually the thought will stop coming around.

This can be as powerful as you need it to be. You will start to become more aware of your unpleasant thoughts and feel much more in control each time you successfully chase one away.
