To appreciate the therapeutic potential of hypnosis, you first have to forget about things like swinging watches and hapless audience members who prance around onstage, crowing like roosters. One of the interesting ironies about hypnosis is that old idea that it takes away control. It’s actually a way of enhancing people’s control. It allows them to take more control of their thoughts, feelings, beliefs and body’s function.
How a Hypnosis Session Works
During the 50 minute session, we will spend some time talking and I will help you to decide what to focus on.
You will receive a deep, personalized hypnotic session with suggestions designed for your particular situation.
You will get a simple reinforcement tool which you can use at home, at work or during a 10 second wait somewhere. The benefits can last for years.
In addition, you will receive a recording of the hypnotic portion of the session. If you listen to it as you fall asleep at night, it will ensure a relaxing sleep and reinforce the suggestions given in the session. You don’t have to actively listen to it. Most people drift or actually fall asleep early on, trusting that they will unconsciously choose the right suggestions at the right time. The process can be accelerated by listening often and at approximately the same time each day.
